If you are using the Mac version of iExplorer, and it's immediately crashing when opening it for the first time or showing the error "iExplorer cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure iExplorer works with this version of OS X", you should just need to install OSXFUSE which is the software that iExplorer uses to mount your iPhone or iPad like an external drive into Finder. The crash report would mention the text below:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libosxfuse_i64.2.dylib
Referenced from: /Library/Frameworks/OSXFUSE.framework/Versions/A/OSXFUSE
Reason: image not found
If the crash report does mention the above text, please first make sure that OSXFUSE is installed. Look at the bottom row of System Preferences to find out. If it’s not installed, you can download it directly if the link below:
https://github.com/osxfuse/osxfuse/releases/download/osxfuse-3.7.1/osxfuse-3.7.1.dmg
If it is already installed, please first try updating it by clicking on Update OSXFUSE in its System Preferences. Then, if it still crashes with the most recent version, please try uninstalling OSXFUSE and then reinstall it:
1.) Open System Preferences
2.) Click on FUSE for OS X on the bottom row
3.) Click on Remove OSXFUSE
4.) Once removed, click Install OSXFUSE.
Then, try relaunching iExplorer. If it still crashes for you, please first just try restarting your computer and then try uninstalling iExplorer and reinstall it by clicking HERE.

OSXFUSE refuses to work with Catalina (10.15.2). So is iExplorer not compatible with Catalina!? I uninstalled completely and reinstalled iExplorer, but it won't load. Is there a fix for this?
I got this message. When iExplorer downloaded OSXFUSE, it specifically used the 3.11.2 release. This is not compatible with my OSX = release 13.0 (Ventura).
So I downloaded and installed the OSXFUSE release that is supported by my OSX. That release is 4.4.1 - https://github.com/osxfuse/osxfuse/releases. I restarted my machine and tried to mount a directory with iExplorer again. It still wants to use release 3.11.2 and I can't get around it. I'm using the latest release of iExplorer - 4.6.0. So I'm screwed.
