An "unable to access track" error comes up during a transfer. How do I fix this?

If you are using a regular iPod such as an iPod Classic, iPod Nano, or iPod Shuffle, you can usually fix this error by checking the box to "Enable Disk Use" on the Summary tab for your iPod in iTunes, click on Apply and try the transfer again.

If you use an iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, you won't see the disk use setting. It's only a setting for regular iPods, so for iOS devices, you should make a note of which track is shown in the error, and then check for that track on your iPhone or iPad to make sure that it can be played or whether it is grayed out which means the media file cannot be found on your device for playback.
